A love letter to Headout.
Sunday, November 10, 2024

It’s been three years since I walked through Headout’s doors (read: joined our Slack workspace 😛), and if you’d told me back then what this place would mean to me now, I’d have probably smiled politely and shrugged it off. I wasn’t expecting to find a home here, but Headout has a way of reeling you in. 🪄
Three years in, it still feels as energising and unpredictable as day one, only now, it’s more personal. I’m a little older, a lot wiser, and deeply grateful for everything that’s brought me here. This journey has been part career, part adventure and honestly, a full crash course in finding out what I'm truly capable of.
I’ve brought campaigns to life, celebrated wins that felt like pure magic and spammed our Slack with emojis. But what stands out are the in-betweens—the late-night brainstorms, the quiet 'we’ve got this' pep talks, the coffee breaks that turn into deep dives on life, travel, and everything else. It’s the kind of place where the lines between 'work' and 'belonging' blur, but that’s where the magic happens, methinks.
Headout has always been more than another company to me; it’s been a canvas. A place where I’ve tested out ideas, fallen flat, picked myself up, and somehow made it through each new challenge with the help of an incredible team. It’s a constant, evolving partnership—a give and take of ideas, energy, and passion that keeps growing with every second.
In three years, I've learnt a lot about marketing, teamwork, people, and a surprising amount about myself. I’ve learned to recognise what I bring to the table, but more importantly, I’ve seen just how much more I have to offer. It’s given me room to stretch beyond my role, challenge my own limits, and trust myself to make things happen. And boy oh boy, what a journey it's been.
But of course, it’s always been about the people. The ones who bring ideas to life, who make work feel less like work, and who remind me why I love what I do. Headout isn’t just a company; it’s a collective of bright minds, real friends, and a culture I’m proud to help shape.
So here's to three years of 'I can't believe I do this for work', the thrill of helping people see what magic our world has to offer, and the joy of doing it all with some of the best human beings I know. 💜
See you in year 4,
P.
